Considering the function of language as a tool for communication, its main characteristic is its twofold closeness to private and public.
Remembering my father’s fear of microbes, I came across blogs and forums where people suffering from microphobia were writing their unusual experiences.
In these drawings, the words and thus, the language, are considered as microbes and germs, parasites that come from the outside and seize the inner part of the self.
